About Me

Hello! I’m Nuno Cardoso, an experienced photographer and videographer based in Hampshire, UK, with a deep passion for capturing life’s most vibrant moments. My journey began in Portugal during the 80s and 90s, but it was in 2010, when I first picked up a DSLR camera, that my true love for photography was ignited. What started as a personal hobby has blossomed into a professional pursuit since 2022. 

My Approach and Expertise

Specializing in events and lifestyle photography, I’ve developed a unique approach that combines technical skill with creative storytelling. My services are designed not just to capture events but to craft marketing videos that convert prospects into clients, helping businesses achieve tangible results. By documenting the energy and emotion of each occasion, I create compelling visual stories that resonate with audiences and amplify brand impact. 

To achieve this, I employ a meticulous process:

• Comprehensive Coverage: I use two or three static cameras to ensure that every crucial moment is captured from multiple angles, providing a complete narrative of the event.

• Dynamic Storytelling: A dedicated dynamic camera captures the intimate, moving details that bring the story to life.

• High-Quality Sound: Separate sound capture ensures that your message is clear and impactful, perfectly complementing the visuals.

Background and Passion

My expertise is not just the result of formal education - I’ve honed my skills through various courses at Highbury College in Portsmouth, alongside a relentless curiosity and commitment to learning through photography education websites and media. My approach to photography is driven by an ever-present desire to explore new styles and techniques, constantly striving to improve and innovate. 

Beyond photography, I bring a rich and diverse background to my work. I’ve spent over 25 years in the music industry as a karaoke host, lead singer, DJ, and manager, performing across Lisbon, the Algarve, and southern England. My love for motorcycles, sparked in 1990, continues to inspire my work, and I eagerly capture car and motorcycle shows whenever possible. 

In 2007, I moved to Hampshire in search of new opportunities and a better life, leaving behind a challenging economic climate in Portugal. As a proud veteran of the Portuguese Air Force and a devoted father to three children - my 23-year-old daughter in Portugal and my two sons, aged 17 and 13, who live with me - I find immense joy in balancing my professional passions with family life.
